Cakes in the form of cups
I'd just like to stress upon all of you the difficulty in writing about
Cupcakes and not actually eating cupcakes. An icing-powered jolt could
have made this article go on forever. To confess, I snacked on brocolli
while I wrote it so if it's lacking in sugar-oscity, I apologize.
I'm saddened that my new doll is already broken. Part of me is really considering digging up the reciept and exchanging it for a new one. What's the fun in having a Cupcake doll if playing with it will destroy her? At least it made for a good Cupcake article.

I feel that some of today's dolls are not as cute or nostalgic as the dolls of the 1980's and early 1990's. However,if the creators and designers limit the look of a doll then that gets boring. Not all dolls have to be just "cute." No, they shouldn't look like "tarts", but I feel that little girls like the flashy clothes and jewelry the dolls wear. This is just like dress-up for them. Perhaps the dolls of today set a bad example for some, but in my opinion, how many little girls are going to say "I want to be just like Barbie or Angel"(from the Bratz collection) when they grow older? Dolls are all different.

Does anyone remember a doll from the 90's whose pink crown lit up along with a heart on her chest?...she had a hard body with a white bathing suit looking thing, blond hair, i think she's weraring a nightgown??...my friends and I keep searching for a picture but can't find one!!!! does anyone know what i'm talking about, can you help??

That article was extraordinarily acurate. I used to have a cupcake doll when I was really young but lost it. I picked up taffy tammy at a wallgreens today and I love her.... the DVD however was insane. They sang the most tart song that was actually like 3 songs in one and then the DVD ended. I was too was laughing like a maniac at the gingerbread comment and wondered if they just said "hey you know what would be really funny...."

Ah!!! I have one of the original cupcake dolls still! Well, ok, to be correct, I have her cute little head with brown sparkly hair, her pink shiny skirt and her pink hat with hearts. I got annoyed that she had no body when I played with her, so I stuck her head on an abandoned early 90s Skipper body and now she hangs out in teendom with them. Not that I play with my Barbies anymore. Oh, no. I just...admire them sometimes. She smells like...cookies, maybe? Oh, and the damn cupcake part I ditched was purple.

I had so many of these growing up~ I even had the cake/tea table and the banana split/bed sets. I'd always wanted a giant cupcake-top hat, like they had.

I´m from Spain and here this dolls were called "Dulcelinas". I collect Cupcakes since 1990 (now I have 21 years old). I love this dolls. Now I need only 3 dolls to complete my collection.

I thought this article was so funny - I never popped the DVD into the computer till now and finally watched the movie. I totally agreed with everything in the article - I would have continued watching it! I even watched through the credits till the gingerman was mentioned - too funny!!!
