Snap, Crackle, Pop!
Yes, yes, yes, I'm still here. I thank the few of you that have issued concern that my regular updates have fallen quite behind. What can I say other than "that's life!" I've been quite busy making sparkly pictures.
I'm sure some of you will be happy to know that now that I've installed much new RAM into my computer I can handle much larger work loads. It also means my computer no longer dies on me when I try to use Windows Movie Maker. I'm sure you'll all be very happy and thrilled to know that I'll now be making the transition from the loathed and despised RealVideo to WMV. Starting with today's new commercial.

This commercials is a prime example of how great even the most boring cereals used to be. Cereal icons used to be heroes of their day. Off saving cereal factories from having their secret recipes stolen and protecting children from breakfast-hating monsters and apparitions set out to make their cereal soggy and boring. Here we have the trio Snap, Crackle, and Pop, battling it out with a monster who's skin is covered almost entirely in ears. What excites me most about this commercial is the kid has a really enviable cow-pattern thermos for holding his milk.

It also features cereal prizes! Now we all know this is nothing more than those cheap writing boards you can buy in 12-packs at the Dollar Store. But look, it has the Win, Lose, or Draw logo at the top! That makes is a game board! The geniuses behind cereal prizes were masters of their trade turning things like recycled soda bottles into water squirters and color-changing fortune-telling tops. I'd much rather find a shitty figurine of Fred Flintstone in my Fruity Pebbles than save up my Pebbles Points to download some shitty Spyware laden MP3s.

Really happy to see you back! I love the sparkle. Thanks for the commercial. My neice got one of those boards for easter. I got bored with it after a minute or two.

Hi there,
This may sound weird, but I am one of the girls from the "Popples" commercial (the one with the glasses). I was a child actor and did that commercial in the mid-80's. Funny anecdote about that shoot, they had to hire an "adult" hand model with child size hands to twist that damn toy inside out - it was impossible for us 7 year olds! Great site, it was nice to share a piece of my childhood with my coworkers. I also did a "Rocky Road Cereal" and 2 "Citrus Hill Select" OJ commercials. Good times.
