Pizzarias and Tato Skins
I write about food a lot. Have you noticed? There's just so much of it, and it always seems to be changing!
Yesterday I made a routine stop at Big Lots to stock up on stickers and whatever else looked amusing. As I rounded the snack aisle I found some amazing rip-off chips you may not believe exist. Considering where I found them, chances are they will very soon cease to exist.

On the left you will find a bag of Pizzarias, not unlike the kind that Keebler used to make. On the right you'll find Tato Skins, which are actually still being made. What do these 2 bags have in common? They're both made by the same company, Poore Brothers. The odd thing about this is that the company not only makes the real Tato Skins, but the TGIFriday's ones as well. Needless to say, I got myself a $1 bag of Tato Skins that are tater-riffic.
I was never much of an original Pizzarias fan, and I'm not a big fan of these new ones, either. I can't make much of a call on whether or not these are anything like the originals. They taste like stale baked torillas covered in powdered tomato if that helps any. Some of the chips have a light dusting, while others look like they were involved in a powdered bloodbath. Overall -- crummy. But worth wasting $1 just to brag that I have Pizzarias and you don't.

I remember distinctly not liking Pizzarias either. I remember that the originals also had the powdery doom chips. Some had only a little bad tomatoe flavored powder, while others looked like they were hemmoraging. The powder is so bright red, it really does look like blood. I don't remember them being really stale, that could be a Big Lots side effect. (It makes me think of buying cereal at a Grocery Outlet! once... once was enough.... never again! I shold know better when I see all those left over holiday cereals six months too late).

I also despised Pizzarias. Mystie is right in describing the taste.
Did they change the Tato Skin packaging? It used to be in a yellow bag instead of blue. Or is this simply the cheap $1 store bag version. Those are excellent.

You should make your site all candy/junk food reviews. And have music blasting in the background that you can never turn off and make it repeat. That'd be cool.

I still eat Tato Skins...never really cared for Pizzarias at all. However, I do like Pizza flavored Combo's, as well as pizza flavored pizza.
And none of that trendy sour cream & onion shit for me...plain Tato's all the way baybee!
I got a bag of the ice cream Skittles, but I didn't eat them yet. An-tissah-pay-ay-shun.

Nice review! I agree to Eddie. I think you should make a food review blog.
