Makes a Great Meal

I was stopping at the grocery store today for TWO things. One being a case of soda to keep at my desk at work. The second being candies for which to fill the candy dish I keep next to my desk. The candy is there as a buffer of sorts so when I pile work on my underlings I can at least offer them a small sugar rush. Anyway, I wound up spending like $18 before leaving the store. There was soooo much new and limited edition food for me to buy and review. Which is great, as I hear X-E is updating their blog every day in August, and I can certainly update as much as X-E can. On a much lesser scale of course, but I can still pedal my tricycle next to the monster truck and pretend.

One thing I found I was particularly excited about. Partially because I've been waiting for something like this for a long time, and partially because I was really fucking hungry and short on time. Hamburger Helper has taken a page from Easy Mac and finally made single-serving microwavable packets of their boxed pasta treats. You no longer have to go to the trouble of dirtying all kinds of pots and pans, browning meat and the likes just for a bowl of cheesy pasta with beef in it.

I don't know exactly how dried meat works, but it's probably for the best I not find out. The packets don't make very much, so I mixed up 2 together. It's pretty decent. Not as good as making it from scratch, but it takes way less time and effort. Plus you don't have to worry about missing ingredients -- just add water! If they made it in Tuna Helper, it'd be like a died and went to microwave heaven.

I HATE Hamburger Helper. Blandest crap ever. But my mom still makes it because it is so easy to make. Blech.

Also, Mystie, you mentioned a video of you and come friends singing Fraggle Rock on X-Entertainment. Any chance of you ever posting it?

Thanks Mystie, the office reeks of this now... I had to tell the Easy Mac freaks at work about this (from this blog) and that's all you can smell during Lunch hour. The smell is better than microwaved generic Rice-A-Roni from Sav-A-Lot. I understand it is fairly tasty, though. I'm almost tempted to give it a try.
