Okay, here's the deal. I've had a rough week and I have an even rougher week ahead. A rougher week meaning my already heavy workload increasing by about 40%. So here's the deal.... I'm gonna give you this cool commercial. Then I'm going to sleep for 15-20 hours.

Swedish Chef Croonchy Stars cereal

I was sort of saving this for a special occasion, but I've come to realize that occasion will never arise. Thus you get it now! Lucky you!! Yes, it's Swedish Chef's Croonchy Stars cereal. They were little cinnamony stars of crunchy, Muppety goodness. It was a million times better than Cinnamon toast crunch. It tasted even better after I'd brushed my teeth with pink bubblegum Miss Piggy toothpaste. If you know me, you know I love the Muppets and regard Jim Henson as a deity. I once dreamt of growing up and working in the Jim Henson creature shop, only to grow up and be faced with the harsh reality that I, in fact, have no talent for anything. Unless you consider making sparkly images of Lady Lovely Locks a talent.

Never heard of this one before. Seriously though, if Chef were to make a cereal, wouldn't it be more like the French Toast Crunch or something? Heck, outside of meatballs, does Sweden even have food their famous for?

I'm pretty sure I had gotten this when it came out.

Whoa! I'm glad someone else remembers this cereal! This was my absolute favorite cereal as a child. I saw Dora the Explorer's Cinnamon Stars today, and had a major flashback. I bought the cereal, hoping against hope, that it would be like the Swedish Chef's. Lo and behold, it tasted and looked like Cheerios, as made by the Swedish Chef. Close enough, I guess, to make me want to buy another box.

My niece had some of those Dora Stars, and they are very similar. I think the Croonchy Stars were a little bigger and had more cinnamon. I still have one of the old cardboard boxes saved away. Now we just need a clone of C3POs cereal and we can get back to "the day".

I'm please yet disappointed. I remember this cereal very much and relished in how good it was. But your limited reminiscence leaves me very unhappy. For something as obscure and incredible as Croonchy Stars, I feel you could have elaborated so much more on it. You barely even touched on what it was like to eat.
