Where Are They?

You're probably reading the title of this blog and thinking... Where are who? I'll tell you who! Frankie, Laura, Lisa, Sam, Bunny Honey, Santa, Hector, Donald, and Susie! The team from a lost early 90's search-and-find book series. I used to pick them up from the Scholastic Book Club during the Where's Waldo era. I'd sit quietly hunting again and again, finding quirky little characters badly out of place and humorous word bubbles popping up everywhere. Craziness everywhere! Gardens growing pizza and candy! Dogs playing football! Sharks in snow! Skating vampires!

The card series was basically cropped portions of pages from the books. Squashing things down to card size made it a hell of a lot easier to hunt down those pesky little guys. Here, see if you can find Santa.

How about Bunny Honey?

Here's a toughie.... can you Find Frankie?

Sure Waldo had his own TV show and video game, but he wasn't a well loved holiday icon so pbbbbbttttt!

I definetely agree, these were much cooler than Waldo ever was... they were more colorful too. Waldo a lot of the time seemed to have simple color themes... I think... it's been awhile. I was fond of the dog. I had totally forgot about those, thanks for the fond memory.
