Pirates of the Sunblock

I started my Saturday out as normal, watching reruns of crap on TV and piddling around online. I really wanted to get some work done, but I knew that wasn't going to happen with me sitting around drinking ice tea all day. I knew if I stayed home the most I'd accomplish was watching old episodes of Space Cases. So I grabbed a binder full of paper, shoved it in a tote bag and hid in a corner of Barnes & Noble writing about toys all afternoon. I don't have the money to afford a laptop, so I had to do it old school like when I was a teenager posting fanfics I wrote during class online. I was working on something I'm doing gradually, so it probably won't be popping up for a few more weeks yet.

Moving along, I did some shopping while I was out. I got myself one thing I have to show just because owning it makes me so ridiculously happy.

Pookie! YAY! Once I got him home, I had to do my traditional dancing my new precious in the air then clutching him to my chest while omitting excited squeals. I've always been a fan of Garfield. I have a special hand-typed and signed letter I got back from Jim Davis many, many, years ago in a special little place in my room. It's even got a special U.S. Acres envelope!

Remember me saying how much I hated spray-on sunscreen? Well, I take it all back. I don't have one spray-on sunscreen, because it's Jack Sparrow-approved.

Of all the things Pirates of the Caribbean are getting slapped on today, I wasn't expecting sunscreen to be one of them. Bubble bath and cereal are one thing; sunscreen is another. I couldn't not buy it. If Pirates of the Caribbean made home enema kits I'd have to buy them. I'd be getting my Will Turner rectal bulb all up in there!

Pooky !! Oh, I want one !! I'm a long time Garfield fan myself. I actually don't live all that far away from Jim's hometown. In 4th grade we had to write to a celeb for an autograph, and Jim's who I picked. Haha.
