Halloween parades
I wasn't sure if I was going to the Halloween parade today or not. Frankly I wasn't entirely sure I felt like going anywhere at all because that would entail taking a shower, and I kinda like spending the weekend in stinky pajamas. Plus I wasn't entirely sure where one parks for parades, or what the ordeal entailed. There was just one big issue....
I felt it would be absolutely criminal to let something that enchanting stay home on a Saturday night.
I grabbed my car keys and parked at a bank about 4 blocks down and walked up to parade central. Everyone had lined up chairs and blankets and had food prepared. I found a bench in front of the fire house that was unclaimed and figured it'd be okay to park my ass on it until someone got up and told me it was their fucking bench.
I was thinking about buying a new camera this week, and now I'm kicking myself in the ass for not doing it. I have a tendency to just go and buy the 2nd-cheapest camera at Wal-Mart and thinking it'll be totally fine. Unfortunately my piece of shit isn't capable of taking photos of things going 2MPH without fucking it up. *sigh*
After that it got dark, and the photo-taking was damn near impossible, especially since my camera, like most digital cameras, is a hungry hungry battery-munching monster. I had a good time, anyway. Watching kids dance in the streets to Thriller, seeing hoardes of Zombies, pirates, and even Pikachu! Every time the kid sitting in front of me saw anyone go buy he ran up with an excited, "DO YOU HAVE ANY CANDY?!" and I laughed at it every damn time. Watching kids divebomb pavement for Tootsie Rolls is one of the great simple joys in life.
On the way home I stopped at McDonald's for 1 medium diet coke and 4 empty cups just for the pieces. You won't believe me, but out of the 10 pieces.... 4 of them were Baltic Avenue. I shit you not. I call shenanigans on McDonald's, because here's the best part.... much like my buddy Matt, I not only got 2 Baltic Avenues on the same Coke.... I got 2 Baltic Avenues on 2 Cokes IN A ROW! I peeled off two Baltic Aves, went to the next cup, and peeled off ANOTHER 2 Baltic Aves. SHENANIGANS!!!!!
Also per my board the following pieces are rares.... Mediterranean, Tennessee, Kentucky, Ventnor, Pennsylvania Ave, and Boardwalk. If you have any of those pieces, please promptly mail them to me.
