Fluffy Xmas music

I think this may be the very first blog entry regarding music I've ever made. I'm making history today. History in fluffy girly Christmas music form.

In my effort to find and buy the latest Muppets Christmas CD in an actual store instead of online, I came across a lot of odd Christmas CDs. It seems like everyone is putting out a Christmas CD now, and it almost makes me want to record a Mystie's Merry Xmas Mix. Almost.

Strawberry Shortcake Berry Merry Christmas isn't so much a Christmas CD as it is the soundtrack to the animated special of the same name. I have very scent-related memories with Miss Shortcake, and after unwrapping this CD I brought it straight to my nose and took a huge whiff, fully expecting the thing to smell like strawberries. I was sorely disappointed. There's no bonus items like a movie clip or even lyrics. The songs are mediocre at best, and serve more as a cute collectible than something you'd want to listen to during the holidays.

Care Bears Christmas Eve was a longer and slightly more traditional CD. It was a little more generic than some of the original Care Bears records in that it didn't make use of all different distinctive Care Bear voices chiming off. It was, however, pleasant to listen to, and featured a few traditional songs such as Silent Night and Away in a Manger. It's a good children's Christmas CD in that if a kid made their parents listen to it repeatedly the parents wouldn't feel the urge to break it over their knee, burn it in the fireplace, and insist their child must have "misplaced" it. The artwork is put together very well, featuring all the Bears in festive holiday activities dancing around the printed lyrics for the songs.

I still have no Muppets Christmas CD, and must say.... I would be very appreciative to anyone willing to buy it for me off Amazon. The rest of my Amazon list is up there on the top of the blog. Juuuust in case anyone loves me enough to buy me something nice.   And btw, since I'm turning 24 less than a month after Christmas, the wishlist will still be there until the end of January. Get used to seeing it.
