Tinkerbell
This latest article is one I'm particularly proud of because I spent a lot of time researching and reading weird things like court reports to write. It's on the old Tinkerbell line which produced a lot of girl products, especially cosmetics. I've tried contacting the company that owns Tinkerbell to confirm my assumptions that the line was discontinued a few years ago, but I haven't been able to get past the endless stream of voicemail and false hopes that a secretary will answer the phone.

Hello.
I have been reading and loving your site for months now, and just had to finally come out of hiding and tell you that this article gave me a little extra glee! I finally threw out my last Tinkerbell lipstick when I moved in June. I had kept it (with full knowledge, mind you) in a "treasure drawer" for, oh... 18 years. It had sentimental value! And retained its special aroma!

Eeeee! tinkerbell! My first grown-up, for real makeup was tinkerbell! I had blush and maybe a few other things but that was about it! I miss them because I loved the look of the little fairy on the cover of the compact!

I still have a bottle of the purfume. I'm scared to open it though.

The first thing I thought when I saw this was "peel off nailpolish!"

I remember My Pretty Mermaids! Though I can't say I would have if I hadn't already been transported back to 1988 with the mention of the peel off nail polish. My mother used to hide mine from me so I couldn't leave hot pink slivers of it all over our house.

Wow you are really taking me back! My friend and I used to mix Tinkerbell and other stuff to try to make our own concoctions, like on info-mercials. Good times!

I'll always remember Tinkerbell cosmetics. I never really looked for the brand until recently for a niece's birthday. She's getting to that fun age, and I thought it would be appropriate. It's terribly upsetting that Tinkerbell is no longer around. All the other options are just not up to par. They need to bring her back for our children!

I had a few tinkerbell things as a girl and bought a number for my now-28 yo dd when she was little. I am disappointed that they aren't made anymore as I have younger girls coming up now and there isn't anything similar on the market.
The tinkerbell I remember was more wholesome and less gaudy/glitzy than the Disney version. It's sad. I wish they made them again!

I have such fond memories of girliness with the peel off nail polish, perfume, and hand lotion made by Tinkerbell when I was a kid. I have looked everywhere for the line, and I am SO disappointed that I can't get it somewhere. I occasionally get slight whiffs of the scent of the lotion and perfume in other things I smell and it transports me back. I would give anything to smell the way the lotion smelled to me back in the early 80's! If anyone can find it, PLEASE email me! Itlnrose0310@yahoo.com. THANKS!!!

Wow! I actually think I had some of that when I was little. I don't remember that much, since it was so long ago, but I remember reading "Tinkerbell" on many of my products. I also had the nailpolish. Wow, so only one brand made peel-off nail polish?! For me it's always been: "peel-off nail polish for little girls, non-peel-off nail polish for older girls!" I actually believed that until this day.. Wow.. Always learning something new, thanks Mystie! ^^

I remember my first set of Tinkerbell well! I got it as a gift from my aunt around 1975 when i was in the fifth grade. Oh how I loved the smell. It was heavenly. Seeing the website brought back special memories for me. My only wish is after searching stores for the last several years to buy it for my daughter, is that I can find the perfume.

Awww! I actually went looking today for the tinkerbell peel off nail polish for my two year old! The girl who was probably born in the 90's at the Target counter looked at me like I was on crack. Glad to know I'm not the only one thinking about it!

I am 52 and loved the Tinkerbell collection. I now own a boutique and have done research, as you have. Articles are dated from the 80's and early 90's. Is there any information that is current??? I can't believe that NO ONE will manufacture something similar to have a product available for little girls, tweens, etc. Is it possible to obtain the formulas or recipes so they can be replicated??? What happened to the connection with Renaissance? Please reply

I LOVED my Tinkerbell makeup as a kid in the early 1980s, and am sooo sad that I can't find it anywhere. I'm so sick of Disney's version of Tinkerbell, I want the vintage non-Disney Tinkerbell from the 80's. Oh how I loved the perfume and lotion the best. Amazing how something like this can take me back to being a little girl. There has got to be a vintage set out there somewhere, there just HAS to!

I enjoyed reading your article. In 1958-59 I was Tinkerbell launching the tinkerbell cosmetics on the TODAY SHOW with Dave Garroway, the Sandy Becker Show and a show called Tinker Tom. At that time I was 10-11 years old and it was a very exciting time for me I did use and like the cosmetics. Its nice to see they are back.

Wow, old Tinkerbell! There is not a single woman who doesn't hear about it. I once found a lot of fotos with its products. I believe they are still there. Use the files search engine http://rapid4me.com and you'll see again so familiar lipstics and other stuff. Nostalgia...

Tinkerbell beauty aids! I used them well into teenhood becuse they were mild and didn't rash skin. I loved the peel off nail polish. Fun to use, non-messy and SOOOO gorgeous. I liked the red best (matched my fave outfit)
The bath enhancers -- bubble bath, shampoo, lotion -- smelled DIVINE! Like a flower garden.
The flavored lip glosses/pomades were my favorite, both in the stick (like a lipstick container) and the little round cannister. In the sticks, I liked the cherry one best, while in the cannisters, I liked Raspberry Delight (from the Ice Cream Parlor assortment) best.

We were too poor to ever go to Disneyland let alone get their products. This is the first time ever to know about Tinkerbell Scented Fair Dust.

Just wanted to let all of you ladies know that you don't have to search no more for THE ORIGINAL TINKERBELL...I have a fairly large collection of it!!! I was going to post it on ebay. There is a powder compact, cosmetic box, perfume, bath oil, shampoo, 3 lipsticks, and a hot pink mirror and comb set (all from my childhood

Hi!
There are a few questions on your site.
How can I contact the administration?

Really? The Tinkerbell line was discontinued? No wonder I could not find one in the shopping mall. I was going to buy a make up for my daughter for her 16th birthday. Oh well! I’ll just look for other brands of make up at the store.

It was a beneficial workout for me to go through your webpage. It definitely stretches the limits with the mind when you go through very good info and make an effort to interpret it properly.

Tinker Bell was described by Barrie as a fairy who mended pots and kettles, like an actual tinker. Her speech consists of the sounds of a tinkling bell, which is understandable only to those familiar with the language of the fairies. Thanks for sharing.
