Happy Easter Peepophiles

Well, it's Easter, and that means no more decent holidays for another 5+ months. Unless you're someone that enjoys hot dogs and sparklers more than tons of candy and presents, this is a day marking a long and tedious wait until better festivities. On the good side, it's just about time to bust out my flip flops and air out my sneakers for a while.

I didn't feel like painting eggs this year, because I always feel the need to paint two dozen of them, and one can only eat so many egg sandwiches and cobb salads. Instead I did what I do best -- invoked 80's girl power.

Rainbow Brite egg wraps, my God could I have found anything more perfect? I conclude that I could not. In my heightened wisdom of growing old, I've learned to prepare for holidays early, so I managed to get these for a decent price well before the Easter markups. There's two sets of 6, and they're not just overused images of Sprites transferred onto clings. Each wrap has a Easter theme to is, whether it be Twink in bunny ears or the Color Kids waving behind bushels of eggs.

I made a video of me making the egg wraps because that's my latest hobby -- making horrible videos no one watches. But if you do, please try not to notice that I'm wearing flannel pajamas with little penguins on them. Shit, I really wish I cropped that video....

Here's how my eggs turned out!

Ever herad of or done Peep Jousting? Apparently, you stick 2 different colored peeps into the microwave and whichever one overtakes the other is the winner. (They get huge from what I hear) Then you can make smores out of them! Yummy!

Holy Shit! I think I had those egg wraps when I was younger! The ones with the color kids in the BG with eggs look very familiar! Wow Time travel...
