It's Out of Control!
NO WAI! I WROTED AN ARTICLE ABOUT OUT OF CONTROL! COULD YOU DIE?

One of the greatest things about Out of Control was, of course, that it featured Dave Coulier as the host. This was during the real early Nick days (like 1984) so while Out of Control was airing, so was the Canadian show, You Can't Do That on Television. In 1986 Alanis Morissette was a child star in a few episodes of YCDTOTV. If you fast forward to 1995 Alanis was celebrating the debut of her Jagged Little Pill album featuring the immensely popular song "You Oughta Know" which was written about her break-up with Dave Coulier.
Pop culture HOO-RAH.

I was a HUGE OOC fan when it was airing on Nick. I even remember the singing taco you talk about. Great opening. Only 26 episodes were made? They reran it so much it felt like there was much more. I want this on DVD along with YCDTOT.

Awesome, even though pretty much the only thing I remember about this show was the opening credits logo.
I hope we'll see a LOT more old school Nickelodeon info on here!

Mystie, GREAT find. wow!
I would have to say that this was prob. my favorite early Nick show. I loved Today's Special, but couldn't stand Pinwheel, due to the fact that it was on for about 13 fucking hours in the morning alone
I still try to do the Diz laugh sometimes, I think it was actually real. That chick looked crazy enough to be able to do it.
Anyway, great article, great find. I always enjoy reading your work.

I STILL do the cut-it-out thing, much to everyone's great displeasure.
