DVDs to Buy
I'm always looking for things to weird things to review. Fashion Plates, Makit Bakit, Presto Magix, Lite Brites, etc. I spend a lot of time searching eBay for things I didn't even know I wanted. On one such eBay searchathon I was looking through items related to My Little Pony n' Friends. Specifically, Glo Friends. I noticed that most of the Glo Friends VHS tapes available are ex-rentals, and thereby in unknown condition. BUT then I did some Googling and found out that there's an Australian release of both the Glo Friends movie and Glo Friends Save Christmas on one DVD. You can get it at ezydvd.com.au and after shipping it comes out to approximately $14USD.

At first I thought I was purchasing a very well designed bootleg, but after watching it, the quality is far too sharp for a VHS to DVD copy. It's official. It's a region 4, which means it won't play in most US DVD players, and I had to hack mine to get it to play. You can learn more about hacking DVD players here. Both specials are tremendously entertaining because Glo Friends have some serious foes to face. They're not just tiny blue pussies trying to hide from a hobo in a black dress like The Smurfs. Glo Friends Xmas > Smurfs Xmas. If you can get the DVD to play, you must must must buy it.
I have to start my career training program next week at community college. SADFACE. That means getting up early and trucking my ass into the city, but the longterm goal is worth it if I can get a telecommutable job. I'm preparing myself by going onto MySpace and searching for all the cute single guys at college between the ages of 23 and 28. Sadly there is not a search option for whether or not they love Ghostbusters, but there really should be. I always thought it'd be funny to make a MYSTIE GOES ON A DATE article, but I don't think I could get anyone to agree on consenting unless it was a fellow webmaster, of which there are NONE around here. SADFACE.
