Bella Sara

Everything I saw about Bella Sara made me fall in love. The commercials, the horses, the inspirational sayings, they way they explained how it was better than all other girl toys for being "age appropriate." Out of respect, I almost made this article curse-free. Almost. But it's just not my style to give a flying fuck what people think of my use of the word "cock." Hell, I didn't even realize I had a cursing problem until a FOAF that's an elementary school teacher asked if I just referred to all of my friends as, "a bunch of motherfuckers."

Yesterday I went into Wal-Mart to buy a keyboard wrist pad, but walked out with 3 packs of Bella Sara cards instead. This was days after buying the initial packs for the article, it took me a while to finish writing because now that I'm back in school I'm busy trying to memorize the difference between palpation and palpitation. But now that I'm a more oriented, things site-wise should pick up at least a notch or two. High five!

You forgot to mention how on the front of the box it says "includes on shiny card". It says shiny instead of holographic or foil. It amuses me.

Thanks. I have not seen that dress up the pony section. Don't mean to feed the addiction, but other upgrades include a jousting game, the pegasi have stables atop Oak trees, the original europe sets have more boy friendly horses like Xombie (decomposing) and new myths set has more crazy beasts with 8 legs, etc. So with myth in mind, when I'm driving and see a horseback rider (silohette) crossing sign, I yell out to my bored daughters "Centaur crossing!")

Thank you so much for making me laugh out loud. XD

Honestly, that's a pretty good article about Bella (and the homepage is ridiculously slow). If you're really interested, I probably could answer some of your comments about the designs. You see... Believe it or not, I'm the girl that drew the dolphin-horse. XD As well as quite a few of the others (take a good guess on which part made me laugh out load. ).
I'm currently trying to find screen shots of my horses in stables, as I (as a European) only just have been granted access to the 3D stable with cards I can activate. And I only own few of my own horses that can be activated (honestly, I'd just love to see Wavebreakers 3D form).

    Hi everybody,

Adam from Hidden City Games here. About the website. We just launched Bella Sara in Italy and the response has been HUGE. So huge, in fact, that the website's totally bogged down. The problem is temporary. Next week we've got a major site upgrade which will improve speed as well as eliminate most of the other site bugs.

Haha! What fun to find someone with the same experience I had-- "ooh, pretty horse picture!" followed by total obsession, when we're waaaaay too old to be having that initial ooh-pretty reaction. =) Hooray for horsecards!

Wow, ha ha ha! Same reaction I had.

Sure, the cards are pretty, but the site? Not so much. Just a bunch of weird, laggy, ugly graphics clicking activities called "games". I don't get it. At all.

But I do like the cards -- the trippier, the better. =)

Trippy indeed! The Fylgie card haunts me, as it depicts a scandanavian girl dead or asleep while her twin/clone/astral projection rises next to her to greet pony.

Artwork now includes images that look like pastel inked with sharp lines to suggest stained glass (Jupiter and Triton).

I know the owners of Bellasara, I am one of their MANY artists. The game is aimed at 4 to 13 year old girls. so overkill girly is expected.

Watch the site. were adding a flight deck (its a stable for flying breeds) and also bellasara the TV show is coming out soon. the CG tv commercials you see is what the show will look like.

Denmark artists have some cooler horses. theres a Zombie one you can ONLY get in Denmark. he drips ooze and such. You should look it up.

    Cassie,

Thanks for the tips. Currently impossible to get checklists of Euro/Denmark releases. So, how does one contact you, which horses did you create? have a website?
