Old school vs New school

I'm still working on the article for my NYC trip, which is currently over 2,000 words and I'm considering breaking up into two sections, because that seems to be what everyone else does with long articles. I'm not really sure why, though. Originally I figured it was to avoid long load times, but since it's still in practice even with all the high-speed shit, maybe it's just an aesthetic thing.

To hold you over, I decided to pull a "HEY LOOK OVER THERE!" by posting something really short and then running off to work on my massive scrapbook. I recently picked up the 1985 Wards Xmas catalog the other day, so a quick scan seemed like a good opportunity. I found something that I think will go over well.

There in the top right corner is the OLD Transformers voice changer helmet. Not quite as cool as a giant Optimus Prime head, huh? I can't see the old set looking nearly as cool sitting on top of my TV. The description blurb reads as such:

Spoken like a true Transformer! Exciting helmet with voice changer and amplifier transforms your voice to sound like a Transformer robot. Your voice activates L.E.D. light for glow-in-the-dark action!

Aw, I wish my helmet had glow-in-the-dark action! I'd never have to worry about monsters under my bed again.

A friend of mine got to catch a screening of the new movie last night, and her response to my saying how much I hate her for it was, "The whole time I was watching the movie I was just thinking 'Oh god, Mystie's gonna cream her pants over this shit.'"  I have high hopes.
