Mystie in the great outdoors

It's autumn here in Pennsylvania and that means one very important thing -- deer hunting season. Hunting is a big deal here in Penn's Woods. My high school principal willingly admitted that it's such an important issue to him that when presidential elections come around he votes for whoever the NRA tells him to vote for. But despite all the local fanaticism I've never shot a gun in my life. Archery, yes, on several occasions, but never a firearm. Seeing as some of my best friends are self-confessed rednecks, this just wasn't going to do.

This afternoon one of my best friends Healr and I loaded up the Jeep and headed way out in the woods so I could be schooled in the ways of shootin'. Country music was played, Blue Collar jokes told, and dust flew from the dirt roads. I not only shot my first gun, but I loaded it up and everything. Kinda broke a nail while loading it and it sorta went inside, but I'm pretty sure we got it out. I managed to get through the whole thing without one exclamation of, "OH MY GOD I SHOT MY EYE OUT!"

It was a beautiful day and just as we were pulling out I saw something that really caught my eye. There appeared to be a Batman-esque symbol on top of a barn on stilts. My response was something to the tune of, "PULL THE CAR OVER YOU HAVE TO GET MY PHOTO WITH THAT!!" Then I tossed Healr my camera and proceeded to run up a grassy hill like a retard. This, actually, was my best shot of the day!
