We love you noggy

Yesterday I sat around the for the first half of the afternoon debating as to whether or not I wanted to go out and pick up some Christmas items. I joked that I only wanted to go out so I could "stumble" across a liquor store, but I knew I needed gift bags, which meant a trip to Dollar Tree was in order. Dollar Trees at Christmastime are magical places, because they are quickly transformed into Stocking Stuffer Central. This is especially great for me as I have a best friend that's an insane Spider-Man fanatic, and I know I won't be able to go 2 steps without running into something with Spidey on it. I left with about a dozen items, and a greeting from my 4th grade teacher, which took an even stranger turn as I ran into her again in the liquor store next door.

I live in Pennsylvania, where we have to purchase liquor from either a restaurant or a "state store" where the workers are actually government employees. We also now have our own special egg nog. I have no idea if this is just a local thing or you can buy Pennsylvania Dutch Egg Nog in the west coast, but this was something I couldn't pass up. This shit's a triple threat -- brandy, rum, and whiskey. That means I'm estimating about 6,000 calories in a glass. I don't usually drink anything too heavy, and to me, this shit has a bit of a burn to it. I guess that's a small price to pay for holiday cheer in a bottle.

I have never seen that nog before, but I am curious about it now.. that stuff is hardcore burn, but then again I am a whimp. I will have to hit some stores and check it out. State Liquor Stores are so strange to me. They have them in Utah... and that's like Mormon and stuff... CA is like liquor central, SF has a liquor store on like every corner... right next to Star Bucks and random Asian restaurant X... we even have lots of stores here in podunk Nor Cal central... I didn't expect the East Coast states to have such things... strange..

I live in Florida and we don't have that eggnog around here. We do have Jack Daniels eggnog at the supermarket but since I have never been inclined to purchase it. We also have liquor stores on every corner. I guess we need to drink in order to handle all the idiots in the state.
