Cherry Chocolate Diet Dr Pepper
One of the great pleasures of living in a country of mass gluttony, is the ample amounts of new flavors of soda and candy. But with the health craze reaching odd new heights, companies slap "diet" and "100 calories" on some pretty strange things these days, and then jack up the price to top it off. It only takes some smart consumerism to realize there's no point in buying 100 calorie ice cream bars when there's 90 calories in a Pudding Pop. 100 calorie M&Ms? Are you kidding me? That's why the make fun size! BLAH!
The commercials for Cherry Chocolate Diet Dr Pepper make the soda seem like you're drinking softcore porn. Huge slices of cake being cut into in the most delicate and sensual way dance and flicker across the scene like a soda stripper. It took a few days of watching this until I got my hands on my first case. At first my tastebuds really weren't sure what to do with it. They were being tackled with so many flavors all at once, and it took a few cans until I could fully appreciate the greatness of the new flavor. It just so happened that in the same trip I picked up the February Cosmo which had a $1 off coupon, and there's also a $1 off coupon inside the box! I'm planning on keeping myself fully stocked until they take it off the shelves. It's a thousand times tastier than some of those wonky Diet Pepsi flavors.
I dunno Misty...my son got one the other day and I tasted it. Kinda tasted like nasty cough syrup to us. BTW...did you ever mail me my box of Sweet Secrets toys that I won? If you did, I never got it!!! WAH!

Misty, out of curiousity, do you work in medical billing and coding? I was just reading the previous blogs, and you mentioned that you work in a hospital office....and I'm soon going to school for that very profession, the medical coding thing.
ALso, you gonna blog about your puppy I hope? And after reading XE last night, I'm anxious to maybe read about your trip to the pagan expo or whatever the hell it was....sounds like a fuckin'

And yeah, I work in a medical billing office that's affiliated with the local hospital so I get mad hospital benefits without actually having to work IN a hospital. The hospital bought up a lot of practices and took over their billing and cover their malpractice insurance and stuff, so it's a pretty sweet deal. I do coding entry and I'm hoping to get my certification with the AAPC this year because my company is starting to hold classes and do reimbursement for it. I absolutely love my job. It's very homey there and I'm pretty much left to my own accord all day. No management hovering over me, no one calling me up to yell at me over the phone -- none of that. And I get to work on two screens, which is pretty hot. The one to the left is in portrait style (like the monitor is turned on it's side) and has all the scanned encounter forms on it. Then I use the right screen to verify all the demographics and enter all the codes from the forms. So, yeah, mainly I sit around drinking coffee, listening to my MP3 player, and typing. Occasionally I gotta look something up in the books or in my notes, research online, or fax something to one of the practices, but that's about it. It's extremely low-stress, all my co-workers are nice, and I actually have a feeling of importance.
Might blog about my puppy at some point, though she's quite big now! Don't have much to say about the expo other than wooooo that was interesting. Especially with a cat show on the other side of the hotel. And like, yeah, New Kids! Heard about it. Wasn't too big of a fan, but it should be cool.

That chocolate Dr. Pepper is the worst flavor of soda I have ever tasted. You would think chocolate in a soda would be good, after all, we have various vanilla/cream sodas and even that caramel Pepsi Jazz one and they're all pretty good. But I couldn't even choke down one can of this stuff, it was so nasty.
I actually got a bag of cheesecake Hershey kisses and a bag of kisses with some sort of white cream inside from Wal-Mart. Haven't tried them yet, but I will.
