I'm a chocoholic
Like most women, I have an addiction to chocolate. There's certain instances in which I've convinced myself that chocolate will, in fact, act as a cure-all. It's also my #1 favorite aphrodisiac of all time, just above watching a guy break out a bulging wallet at the end of an expensive dinner.

I felt a little guilty as I was standing in line at the checkout not only with New York Cheesecake Hershey Kisses, but with a Cadbury Egg nestled on top of the bag. As I noticed the girl in front of me was also buying Cadbury Eggs, my shame subsided. While Hershey Kisses filled with cheesecake creme sound like heaven wrapped in unwavering love, they're maybe slightly less remarkable than I was perhaps anticipating. While they're undoubtly DELICIOUS, I can't say that I'd be able to pinpoint the flavor in a blind taste test. It just tastes like nummy creme.

While perusing the Dollar Tree for reasons I can't remember (see: excuse to "stumble" into the liquor store next door) I took a particular interest in the Valentine's goodies. Among them, I found bags of limited edition dark chocolate Sixlets. Sixlets dark chocolate flavored candies don't taste that different from the milk chocolate flavored version, but you can tell the difference by the subtle changes in color. Mmm... delicious tan shell. While I realize Sixlets aren't exactly a candy of choice for most, I absolutely love them. Some years ago my then-boyfriend bought me an entire case of Sixlets for Valentine's Day. Pretty slick. I hold them pretty equal with M&Ms, and I love that little caterpillar on the bag. Does the Sixlets caterpillar have a name? Not even Wikipedia knows.

I am not that huge of a chocolate fiend as a lot of girls but I do like my share of chocolate. I am also one of those strange people that adores Sixlets. I like the super thin candy shell and the waxiness of the chocolate. It's very very different. Yay! I am no longer alone in my Sixlets love... I usually tell people I like them and they are like "What are Sixlets?" The only place I can find that (consistently) sells them in CA these days is Michael's... yeah the craft store mega chain... go figure!

OMG, I'm not alone in the world of sixlet loving. I think I'm in love.
