Action Figure Makeover: April O'Neil
I promised an article soon, and if you got your hopes up, it's finally paid out, because guess what? I'm making good this time. It's another installment of Action Figure Makeover where this time I pimp out miss April O'Neil, ace news reporter. Why April? Because there's only so many ways you can repaint Donatello, and I couldn't find a decent figure of The Shredder.
Guilty pleasure of mine, I always wanted an APril figure, but was afraid to ask for one, thought it was too much like a Doll and not enough like an action figure.
However now shes all whored up, I WANT!

Holy crap another article and a repaint one at that! I love your Action Figure Makeovers!! April is looking awesome in her gothy pink self, I love it. You inspire me to try to repaint a figure but I am not steady enough of hand to pull it off and I lack the figure to do it... sure I could pick up my $100 Harlock on my shelf and give him a new coat... but yeah... I am going to have to be on the lookout in the $1 action figure bins at Frank and Son's next time I am in Southern California. (Frank's is like Zern's if it was all nerd collectible culture... seriously good times!

What's funny is that on the package, it appears that April is shooting the other April with the gun.

You know, it's weird. As goth as I am (actually, I deny being goth at all, cause we all know "real" goths hate being called that), I actually prefer the original over this. I don't know why. Any other time, I'd be all over darkening up somebody, but there was just something about April's yellow jumpsuit, with the buttons undone. Creepily enough, back in the day it gave me "ideas" at the tender age of 10 or so. Great article though, as always!

I have an April figure, mine is from that TMNT when the turtles go to ancient Japan and I love her.
