My week's been a little packed and the other day between driving to and fro I realized I'd forgotten to eat dinner. I swung by McDonald's and ordered a Happy Meal without even bothering to look at what toys were being offered. I was too distracted gawking at the SUV in front of me covered in Philadelphia Eagles decals and topped off with a silver ruby-eyed skull hitch. When I pulled up to Window 2 I was grinning ear-to-ear as I was handed a Happy Meal BOX. YES. BOX!



Boxes are only used for extra special Happy Meal toys these days, so this was bound to be good. Turns out there was a split boy/girl, pirate/princess Happy Meal, making me somewhat regret saying I wanted girl meal. Ideally, I would have liked to see these both combined. I want to be a pirate princess!!

The box itself is designed well with the standard activities and riddles and a few cut-out pieces like a pirate eyepatch and a star to turn your straw into a wand. I was always a fan of the old boxes that would punch out to form things like hideouts for figures or pathways to race your Hot Wheels through.



My prize for the day was the Cinderalla "Slipper Toy Accessories" ie shoelace clips. They came with interchangeable inserts which is kinda cute, but I'm most impressed with the pink fuzzy outer layer. In fact, I'm impressed with the toys available as a whole, because they all seem to be fairly sizable pieces like tiaras, magic mirrors, and wands. Not only that, but it came with STICKERS! Just a square sheet, but man, that's like the icing on the cake to get a toy AND stickers. I mean, yeah, it came with a collectible card, but that doesn't amount for much unless it's one of the vacation-winning ones. Stickers are millions of times better trading fodder than cards.
