Play-Doh Sand Sensations

Today was a great day because I didn't have to get dressed and go anywhere, I just got to bum around in my cozy little PJs. I even considered some serious hardcore napping, but since I'd already slept 12 hours I managed to keep myself awake enough to lay in bed watching bad Just For Kids videos and sending a bazillion text messages. I've had a splitting headache on and off and I fell into a laundry basket at one point, but I'm a pretty graceful faller, so I managed not to damage myself. It's been the kinda day where I just laze about, play some DS, page through this month's Cosmo and get teary as I cut out part of page 285 and post it up on my dream board.

I was going to try and pump out an article by the end of the day, but I'm in the home stretch and don't think I have time to get all the screen caps in, so instead, I popped open my big fancy pink trunk and pulled out something I'd been holding on to blog about. Some weeks ago Play-Doh tried to cash in one some of Moon Sand's money by coming out with Sand Sensations. Now, the reason I was holding off was because I saw they also made a Doh that supposedly feels like you're playing with a tub of sprinkles, but I can't find it anywhere but online. All I came across was sand and some glitter Doh.

The blue is the greatest most deep shade of blue imaginable, the kind that reminds you of the darkness of summer at midnight over the ocean. Everything else about this product was surprisingly disappointing. The compound is very wet and moist and feels like you're playing with a sandy turd. It doesn't compress like Moon Sand, in fact, once molded the dough just droops all over the place like a limp dick. It's got that gross consistency that's reminiscent of toy slime. Game over. Moon Sand wins.

Yeah, that does look...lame. Sorry to say this, but that attempt to make the castle doesn't quite match what's on the box, there. Good job on the shrinkydinks though.

I'm going to have one of those lazy days tomorrow (or should I say later today since it's about 5:00am as I type this. It's funny cause with my new backwards work schedule, Monday is my Friday. I'm still getting used to it.

that is indeed a glorious shade of blue.
However, hearing your description reminds me of trying to lift a kitty-piss-pile out of the clumping litter before it's completely clumped.
    So yeh.

    Grossness.
