The lovers, the dreamers...
Today was an important day in my life. It was the day I got my very first tattoo, and one that means a lot to me.

It's the Japanese symbol "yume" which means "dream."
"It does not do to dwell on dreams and forget to live." - Dumbledore
But it's my dreams that have made my life. Without dreams to chase after, I'd have fallen into the darkness long ago. It's my dream to live a happy life that has given me everything I cherish -- friends, a job I love, laughter, and the simple pleasure of waking up and feeling great just to be who I am. When I get caught in morning traffic, I smile and thank God that I have the luxury of owning a car and enough job security that no one will care if I'm 10 minutes late. What was once a dream is now reality.
My dreams are always there, ranging in size, giving me something to look forward to and something to fight for. They're my inspiring force, my hope, my light, and the hardest thing for me to give up on. Often thinking about my dreams will swell my eyes with tears. They're something I never want to be without. Among all my dreams, there's one that's never faltered. It's the one dream I'll fight for til my dying day, no matter how much pain, how many tears, or how many falls I'll take on the way. It's the one dream I'd give up everything for.

Nice Tat Mystie. I understand what you mean as well. Not to be a buzzkill but did you do the research for that tattoo?? Sometimes people get japanese tattoos they later find out the person was screwing with them and it is totally not what they asked for.

Yay for tattoos! Goob is tellin' the truth about the wrong kanji tattoo thing. I was so weary of it when I got the hiragana on the back of my neck that I did my own research....I checked and checked again, and yet still, when I lived in Hawaii a japanese girl that I worked with told me that I basically have permanent gibberish on my neck. Whoopee!
