The Sweetest Place on Earth
Some of you may have noticed the MLP advent article-thing-a-ma-bob on the front page. It's been slow updating on account of the big event yesterday, but I'm trying to catch up now. Forgiveness?
Friday afternoon I packed my overnight bag and headed to Hershey, PA. I stayed at the EconoLodge, and was a little disappointed that there weren't Hershey Kisses placed on my pillows. I know it's a cheap hotel, but I figured it's Hershey and that sort of thing was customary. Still, it was the first time I'd ever been alone in a hotel room, so I was pretty excited. I took full advantage of my opportunity by peeing with the bathroom door open, walking around in my undies, jumping on the bed, and eating pizza in the bathtub. Mainly I studied through the evening and was too excited to sleep much during the night.
I got up at 6:45, packed, checked out, scarfed down my free continental breakfast, and went around the block to the Hershey Medical Center. I was really upbeat about it all, humming the Mary Tyler Moore theme to myself as I skipped along. There were about 75 people taking the CPC exam, 20 of which were my co-workers and we were all spread out in a large stadium-style lecture hall. The test was 5½ hours long, and I finished at approximately 5 hours and 27 minutes. It was really rough, some of the questions didn't even really tell you what procedure was performed, they just gave you a page long operative report and you had to sort out all the crap from the relevant pieces. I think I did pretty well, but it'll be a couple weeks before the results come back.
Now to finally get some work done! HORRAY CHRISTMAS!!
