Christmas 08

Wow, I didn't even come close to finishing the advent in time. Where did December go? One minute I'm waiting for the weeks to Christmas to speed up and the next it's Christmas Eve and I'm feverishly working at pasting together one of my mom's presents. Now I'm busy doing approximations of my tax refund this year only to stare in disbelief that I may wind up breaking even on the year I worked the most in my entire life. I think next year I'm going to just start a Christmas savings account, buy everyone's presents online in November and spend all of December sipping hot cocoa with Delilah.
December just went batshit crazy. Presents didn't arrive in time, cards never got sent, my finances were screwed, I couldn't find any of the tapes with Christmas commercials, and I still didn't get my photo taken with Santa! Plus I forgot that my copy of Glo Friends Save Christmas is in some European region that won't play in my computer, only in my cracked DVD player. Blah. I give up. It's time to go back to the basics -- writing about toys, old commercials, and new junk food. Do tributes to toys that had funny smells and the likes. No more of this trying to further my education crap. I'm going to fry my brain and write a review when Howard the Duck finally comes to DVD in March. It's time for digital duck boobs.

Ah! I became a toy Advent Calendars addict. I was checking yours almost daily, he he.

This is why I think there is nothing wrong with Christmas garb being in the stores late September, it still isn't enough time.

Hey, I'm right there with you. I decided today that I'm going to start putting money aside all year long into a special Christmas Fund, so that I can knock out all my shopping early this year and get my family kickass presents, all the while being 100% stress free. This December has been one of the worst I've ever had, honestly. I hope '09 turns out to be a better year. If you start it out with a Howard The Duck review, we'll be off to a rad start.
