Incisions, advents, etc.

Friday's surgery went fairly well. It was my first time having any sort of stay at the hospital and it went about as well as could be expected. It took three tries to get my IV in, though because apparently I have nonexistent veins. It also took three times for me to complain of nausea before they hooked up some anti-nausea meds to my IV. It all ran quite smoothly and I went into the operating room at 9:30am and left the hospital at 3:30pm. The first day I was mainly exhausted and very sore around my incisions, particularly the one at my bellybutton.
Other than that, I'm having a great recovery. My pain is mostly gone, my appetite is coming back, and I'm able to get up and move around just fine. Also, I finished the MLP advent calendar. Hopefully more to come.
Oh, any I'm going back to school next month.... again.

Here's to a fast recovery. I have veins like yours. They always have a hard time locating them and by the time they do, I'm about to pass out. I found drinking a ton of water (that is, if I know I'm going to be stuck ahead of time) really helps.
Good luck with school!
