Golden Graham Treats RETURN
Oh lords of cereal and junk food, thank you for bestowing this most blessed feast upon me.
Within my top 10 favorite discontinued food products rests Golden Graham Treats. They came out, I believe, in the early 90s and I ate an estimated 2,500 of them in my bagged school lunches. The commercials used to run constantly during the 2 shows I taped incessantly in high school -- Darkwing Duck and Samurai Pizza Cats. I'm a big fan of Golden Grahams cereal, and when they tossed in marshmallow and chocolate I was rendered helpless to its powers.
These new treats have gone the way of the new pudding pops and taken a change in shape. Instead of being roughly the size of your average prewrapped Rice Krispies Treat, they're the size of a granola bar. Not only that, but the sweet graham flavor is almost drowned out by the intense chocolate that's coating the bottom of the bar. It's more candy bar than anything now. Still, I have my Golden Grahams Treats back and that's all that matters.
I'd post the old commercial for Golden Graham treats, as I have it 16x over on VHS, but my VCR is actually boxed up right now as I'm moving in to my first apartment on July 1. I'm moving to another tiny town in Berks County, PA. It's a huge ass 100+ year old house that's split into 4 apartments, and I get the one in front with the awesome basement bedroom. I've also been informed my neighbor is a homosexual Christian psychic, so mass hilarity is sure to ensue.
Interesting. Now if only General Mills would bring back S'mores Grahams cereal... (Yes, I know about Kellogs' Smorz cereal, but that stuff sucks if compared to S'mores Grahams.)
Oh man. I hadn't thought of them things in FOR-EV-ER. They were amazingly amazing, weren't they. I actually can't remember the last time I ate golden grahms- scrimping money and buying generic cereals kinda crimps your big-name cereal desires.
Well, there's always Malt-O-Meal "Honey Graham Squares". Not exactly as good, but tolerable if you're really on a budget.
I have 2 cases of the nestle magic balls not opened that 48 small boxes and 16 3 pak boxes i am moving i have had them since 1997 I use to work for albertsons i was one that had to pull then off the shelfs any body want them $$$
WOW!!!!!Totally remember these! They were so yum! I also like their healthier cousins,the ones with the milk filling you are supposed to eat at breakfast.

You know, even though Golden Grahams definitely makes my list of Top 5 Favorite Cereals ever, I gotta say I don't remember these at all. They do look pretty tasty though.
I love golden grahams. I haven't had them in forever so I am due for another box. I am glad that you found a place you liked and it likes you. Except for my best friend I have never had good luck with roommates.
You opened up a big can of worms with this blog. I was 3 months pregnant (currently 4 1/2 months)when you released this and I went on a mission with my poor husband to find Golden Graham Treats. I think I ate like 10 of them within a few days. Not healthy at all but it was a horrible craving!
Yeah, unfortunately these cerials are very tasty but they are not as healthy as you think. I've found a book at the files search engine http://rapid4me.com about healthy food and found out that the food I ate for so many years was not healthy at all. You know as a rule they don't release commercials to promote good food.
